Joy of life
“Joy of life” is the name of this suite of images, and it is also the feeling I tried to capture in my motifs. The pictures are a reaction to all the negative messages about aging. Surely we can agree that it beats the alternative?
I look forward to growing old happily. Can’t it be a phase in life to free oneself from some of society’s expectations and demands for adaptation?
I have been inspired by the aesthetics of Street art as an edgy contrast to the heartwarming motifs. The original series consists of 10 hand-printed, numbered and signed copies on 50 x 70 cm watercolor paper.
